PLEASE READ ALL DETAILED GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING AS POSTED ON OUR WEBSITE www.standingrock.net/LiterarySeries.html. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW GUIDELINES, especially for issues pertaining to blind submission, or YOUR ENTRY MAY BE DISQUALIFIED WITHOUT REFUND of your entry fee. 1. ENTER YOUR ENTRY FORM (available at www.standingrock.net under the Literary Series tab) AND any ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS in the FREE CATEGORY ENTITLED "COMPETITION ENTRY FORM & ACKNOWLEDGMENTS ONLY"
2. CHOOSE the "Return to Other Categories" link.
3. ENTER YOUR MANUSCRIPT with NO IDENTIFYING INFORMATION AND PAYMENT of your ENTRY FEE in the PAID CATEGORY "COMPETITION MANUSCRIPT WITH NO IDENTIFYING INFO & PAYMENT ONLY."
YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE TWO ENTRIES and WILL ALWAYS BE PROMPTED TO PAY THE ENTRY FEE. Otherwise, something has gone wrong and your entry cannot be referred to the judges. If there is any confusion or difficulty, please contact us at the email above.
We CANNOT enter incomplete submissions, submissions containing identifying information, and unpaid submissions into the competition. NO EXCEPTIONS. Entry fees are not refunded in these cases! As a courtesy, staff does attempt to contact submitters via email regarding any known issues with a submission.
Submissions for the Standing Rock Cultural Arts Rock in the River Literary Series and Open Poetry Chapbook Competitions will be accepted July 15, 2014-October 31, 2014 (by midnight Eastern Standard Time).
Winners will be announced by early December and all entrants will receive a copy of the winning manuscript in the spring.
Multiple submissions are permitted as separate entries with payment of each entry fee on Submittables. Simultaneous submissions are permitted with prompt notification of acceptance elsewhere during the competition reading period. There are no refunds for manuscripts that are accepted elsewhere.
**No identifying information - including acknowledgments - should be included in the manuscript or the entry will be disqualified! Your entry form (available on our website) and acknowledgments should be uploaded as a separate submission in the entry form-acknowledgments submission section (free of charge).**
You will receive 2 emails when the process is completed-one for your entry form and one for the manuscript. (We have no way to stop Submittable from sending an email confirmation for the entry form portion and apologize for the extra email).
